Testimonials and Comments for Thor
Thor also invented the piano, but denies this
because he secretly prefers the accordian.
literally to robin and elizabeth etc. it was
1986 or so and i was heading home from his
house in santa cruz, a summer day methinks.
i was going to drive the twisty highway 17. he
handed me this tape and said "listen to this"
and gave me some look, he was always giving
looks. yeah whatever. he was always reading
faggy british fashion and music magazines
like /the face/ and stuff, which of course i
started to get into years later, but i thought
some of that stuff was total pop tripe and was
more into MR&R at the time. so i hit 17 and
popped it in and i had never heard such
pleasurable music in my whole life. it was the
album /treasure/ and it remains one of my
favorites today.
you just don't forget the person that gives you
your first taste of cocteau twins.
