posted: ANTIsocial Behaviour, Culture shock, Racial Discriminationexperienced any of the following? my experience seems shallow, but when i stayed in tokyo, my view of wearing flipflops changed totally. i grew up on the beach and it's always comfortable to me to wear slippers.. i felt embarrassed when people look at my feet with criticizing eyes, tho my toes are clean and well pedicured. ive learned that they have a different perspective about da feet. now, i only wear slippers during summer, but not too often. |

"drongo" is more offensive i think, other than calling an aussie a kiwi...? calling an aussie a kiwi is more offensive than calling them drongo which basically means idiot. kiwis are the new zealanders.. aussies usually call themselves as dinkie di aussie or true blue aussie so if you call them by other nationality they'll be kinda offended.. |

posted: RE: ANTIsocial Behaviour, Culture shock, Racial Discriminationyou know it's not so much as color or ethnicity, but more of education/understanding of individuals i had dealt with. oh and believe me i dealt with all the above ...though i'll admit i am big at critizing latinos in general....i have such beef with "la raza" i heavily look down on "latino pride", "chicanos" and most latin orgins....just tired of being sterotyped as 1 of them and more than this, i'm exhausted of being called a "sell out" because i do not conform with the old world views. |
