only the sauce, then you can add any topping on your easy pizza crust,( store-bought pizza crust, pan de sal, crusty sliced baguettes, sliced american loaves,) this could even be used as dip for nachos. or a salsa (just add chopped jalapeno or siling pansigang and cilantro) you need to: saute:
1/4 cup minced garlic
1 large minced onion
1 minced celery stick
add and simmer: 3 cups peeled and deseeded tomatoes
1 cup tomato juice or water
season with: 1 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1
tsp fresh oregano (half only if it's the dried one and be sure your
using the real oregano for cooking, not the ones you find in your
neighbor's pots used to cure cough)
1 handfull chopped fresh basil (1 tsp only if it's the dried one)
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
simmer until all the liquid is reduced in half. spread over on your choice of pizza crusts, put your favorite toppings, add cheese or not, bake until ready. for small slices of bread, you can just bake it in your oven toasters.
if you're using sliced french bread, call it Bruschetta for a good impression from your friends!

posted: RE: simple tasty recipe by original people!wel if you want to follow da real calabrian, yes, i omit it also since da eggs are there, too rich, but for da eggs, it'll help build air pockets so da bread will not be too tough. also da crust will come out a bit chewy. |

2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 cup fresh cream a handful of fresh basil leaves, chooped Procedure1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the onions and cook gently for 20 minutes until very soft and just beginning to turn golden. 2. In the meantime, drain tuna. Bring a pot of salty water to boil. 3. When the onions are cooked, add tuna and a splash of water to the onions and heat through. Add the tomatoes and bring to a slight boil, then turn the heat to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens, 5 to 10 minutes. 4. Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and add to the sauce, reserving some pasta water in case it gets dry. Toss to coat, season with salt and lots of pepper. 5. Drizzle some fresh cream on top and finish it with fresh basil leaves. |

posted: RE: simple tasty recipe by original people!i just finished making (and eating ^_^) this pasta.. i dont really know how to cook, but i like to cook and experiment..CREAMY MUSHROOM AND SHRIMP PASTA what you need: - 6 tsp butter - 1 green bell pepper, chopped - 1 medium sized onion, chopped - 1 can sliced mushroom - 1 can cream of mushroom - 1 15oz. bertolli mushroom alfredo cream sauce - 15oz shrimp (cooked and deveined) - 1lb linguine pasta now the fun part.. cook pasta. drain. using a nonstick saucepan, melt butter, then mix onions, peppers and mushrooms. sautee over medium heat for about 5 minutes. add cream of mushroom and mushroom alfredo sauce. add salt and ground pepper to season (i guess salt/pepper is optional, i like to add them on my food ^_^) cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. add shrimp, mix, and let the sauce simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. mix pasta and sauce, and voila! i just bought cuban bread, sliced it, spread some butter and toast. if anyone wants to know, i found this recipe online.. i just made some changes and made it kinda my own.. |
