yeah bro, i know them, i cooked it once but for a soup recipe..
the texture is very glutinous.. and that makes the pad thai very distinct from all other stirfried noodles recipe.. thanks again man!

since CUCUMBERS are popular in this forums, i'd like to share an East African salad recipe: source A to Z Tanzania,

Kachumbari (Salad) Recipes

Kachumbari (Salad) is a side dish in Tanzania. It is a mixture of chopped or shredded vegetables that is served cold with other food in a meal.

Ingredients
  • one (more or less) hot chilli pepper(cleaned seed removed and chopped)
  • one medium onion chopped
  • two to four tomatoes thinly sliced
  • juice from one or two lemons or limes (or a few tablespoons of vinegar)
  • fresh cilantro (coriander leaves) chopped
  • spring onions, chopped.
  • one cucumber peeled and sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix.
  • Toss to coat all ingredients with liquid.
  • Set aside in a cool place for twenty to thirty minutes before serving
Serve
  • Serve with other dishes.

that one is really good.. one of the chefs where i work at made that for us one slow night, and it was sooo good.. but instead of the ingredients chopped, he had them all diced so it looks more like a side dish (kinda looks like salsa)..

oh and add some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.. goodness, am i drooling right now? lol.

that is one thing i love about thailand..

vegies and fruits are very cheap!

but for now.. let me share one of my favorite salad.

ingredients:
  • honey mustard (1/4 cup)
  • 1 pc. sweet corn (steamed and thickly sliced)
  • 1 pc. carrot (grated)
  • 1 pc. tomato (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cabbage (thinly sliced)
preperation:
  • combine cabbage, carrot, and honey mustard
  • put the tomato and corn on top
  • set aside and let it cool in a fridge before serving

my dad makes the best salsa i've tried in my life =))

ingredients:
ripe mango
ripe papaya
onions
tomatoes
cilantro
salt&pepper

there's probly something else added, but those are the main ingredients.

chop and prepare the vegies and spices

its like having a sunny side up instead in an il its in the boiling water..

i found a simple recipe for a cheesecake. andali lang pala.

PIE CRUST
1 1/2 cups Crushed Cream-O Vanilla cookies
1/2 bar margarine = 108.4 grams
20 grams Refined sugar

FILLING
1 pack Cream Cheese
1 tbsp Unflavored gelatin
3 tbsp Full cream milk
1 box All-purpose cream
40 grams Refined sugar

TOPPINGS
Crushed Cream-O cookies
