Position Summary

Friendster is looking for an exceptional and highly motivated software architect with a strong track record of designing and developing multi-tiered web applications that are high quality, scalable, and reliable. We prefer generalists who have driven feature development at every layer of the stack.

As a key member of our engineering team, the Software Architect has broad responsibilities, including technical leadership, application design and development, project management, and cross-department communication and mentoring. To be successful, you need a deep understanding of social networking sites, development methodologies, common web and application architectures as well as strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Site Architect

As a key member of our engineering and operations teams, the Site Architect has broad responsibilities, including technical leadership, application design and development, project management, and cross-department communication and mentoring. The Site Architect role is a challenging combination of both technical management and design responsibilities, with hands-on production code monitoring, diagnosis and mitigation. Design Director (Senior User Experience and Interaction Designer)


Position Summary

Friendster is currently seeking a Senior User Experience and Interaction Designer to establish, direct and implement the design strategy for the Friendster suite of products.

The primary function of our UED's is to work alongside the production team to help them understand how our users navigate our site. You will work with interaction flows and site maps. You will describe and illustrate details of the design and behaviors’ of a product or interface. You will be responsible for how our users experience Friendster as a product! You will also be responsible for taking a user-centered design approach to create the best user experience for the Friendster user base, while taking business, marketing and engineering requirements into consideration.

To be considered for this position you must have minimum of 5 years experience as a key member of a User Interaction team, ideally from a portal/ social networking background. You will be a master of web design principles, information and interactive design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the overall design strategy for Friendster.
  • Lead interaction and visual design throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to define overall product direction and UI requirements.
