        BSBFCP aims to achieve the following:

        1. To establish an official Backstreet Boys fan community in the Philippines;

        2. To make the Philippines as a major country to in South-East Asia for the Backstreet Boys to tour in, whether for promotional or major concert tours; and
        3. To reach out to the Filipino Backstreet Boys Fans, Locally and Internationally.

        In addition, BSBFCP looks forward to keeping the Backstreet pride alive in the Philippines and bridging the gap between the Backstreet Boys and their loyal Filipino Fans presently and in the future.

        How it all began...
        BSB mania began when a quintet of gifted, vibrant and good-looking boys from Orlando, Florida first came to Philippine shores on October 18, 1996 at a time when their hit single ‘Get Down’ spawned the latest dance craze and their sentimental ballad ‘Anywhere For You’ was scorching the charts. Filipinos immediately recognized their talent and charisma and soon a strong following quickly developed. With their first album, ‘Backstreet Boys’, reaching seven-time platinum status, the Philippines holds the distinction as the only country to award them that astonishing record sales achievement.

        Never really Gone...

        Following the uncertainty of a five-year hiatus, the Backstreet Boys released their latest album, Never Gone, to the delight and surprise of their numerous followers. This much awaited and most welcome return to the music scene sparked a resurgence among their fans here in the Philippines.

        Originally formed in November 2005, the BackStreet Boys Fan Club Philippines (BSBFCP) was founded by faithful supporters since 1996. Made up of students, young professionals, single and married, very young and not too old from all areas of the country and different levels of society, the diversity is testament to the Backstreet Boys’ staying power and universal appeal.

        January 20, 2006 marked another milestone in Philippine BSB history when the quintessential boyband returned for a one-night engagement as part of the Southeast Asian Leg of their Never Gone tour. After nearly a decade since their last visit, their Filipino devotees eagerly embraced the opportunity to finally see them once more. In a sellout concert at the Araneta Coliseum, tens of thousands of wildly appreciative, screaming, shrieking, dancing fans came out in full force to welcome their idols. In the aftermath of the highly successful show, a renewed and revitalized outpouring of Backstreet Boys frenzy ensued. This phenomenon brought heightened interest and increased membership to the young BSBFCP which in turn, extended its resources to reach more and more BSB afficionados.

        Thank to the tirelesss efforts of some fans, members of the media and the Sony-BMG label, the BackStreet Boys Fan Club Philippines was formally established to continually provide the latest news on the Backstreet Boys and to unite as many of their the fans through friendship, love and music.

      By 1997, pop music was returning to the forefront in United States, with the likes of the Spice Girls and Hanson. Jive Records and Pearlman decided to bring the boys back to their home country after 8.5 million discs had been sold worldwide. They began recording their second album, Backstreet's Back, releasing "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" in August, coinciding with the release of their second international album, the band released a self-titled album in the US which collected songs from both international albums. They hit big on the U.S. charts, and debuting at #1 in Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Finland and Austria. The two albums sold over 28 million copies worldwide (14 million copies in the U.S.)

      In December 1997, the band embarked on a 60-city, 20-country tour.

      Backstreet Boys is the self-titled international début album from the pop group Backstreet Boys. The album was released around Europe, Asia, Canada and in a few other markets. It was a fair success and contains a number of the band's most memorable singles. All of those singles were later released on the second self-titled debut in the United States in 1997, which compiled songs from this album, and the band's second international release, Backstreet's Back.

      * Gold (Colombia, Finland, France, Israel, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, UK, Hungary, South Africa)
      * Platinum (Denmark, Thailand, Korea, Venezuela, Central America, Belgium, Sweden, New Zealand, Australia)
      * 2x Platinum (Holland, Portugal, The Gulf, India)
      * 2x Platinum (Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Poland, Argentina, Switzerland, Singapore)
      * 4x Platinum (Spain)
      * 5x Platinum (Taiwan, Chile, Malaysia)
      * 7x Platinum (Philippines)
      * Diamond (Canada)
      Backstreet Boys has Gold and Platinum Awards in thirty-eight countries, with eight million albums sold.

      Backstreet's Back is an album by the Backstreet Boys released internationally in 1997, but not in the United States. It was a follow-up to their successful self-titled international debut. Some songs from this album, and the prior release were compiled into a second self-titled album whose release coincided with this album. There were a few differences between the versions of songs released on this album and the American album. It was also an "enhanced CD".

      This album, as has been common with Backstreet Boys albums, had several different tracklistings in various markets. The Dutch (European) edition is generally considered to be the "standard" tracklist for this album. The bonus tracks on this album, unlike the first international album, were scattered into the tracklist instead of being added to the end of the album. (eg: a bonus track as the fourth track would push "That's The Way I Like It" to fifth, and so on down the line.

      On 18 May 1999, the Backstreet Boys released the album Millennium, which sold over 1.13 million units in its first week, setting, at the time, a record for first week sales. The album also recorded the most sales for an album's second and third weeks. Rolling Stone reports that sales might have been bigger if some stores had not run out of CDs. The album dominated the worldwide charts, landing at the #1 spot in 25 nations. It was certified 11 times platinum on 22 December 1999, and went on to sell 40 million copies worldwide. The first single "I Want It That Way" was a significant hit, reaching the #1 spot in over 18 countries. In addition to receiving gold and platinum awards in 45 countries, the band's second album was nominated for 5 Grammy Awards including Album of the Year. In August, the Backstreet Boys sold out a 39-city tour in less than a day, selling over 765,000 tickets in a matter of hours, prompting additional shows in many markets and shattering a number of box-office records, selling out all 53 concert dates of their Into The Millennium Tour which kicked off in September. The tour drew over 2 million fans, breaking the record for largest indoor audience.

      Impressed by the success of the Backstreet Boys, Sony BMG, which already owned 20 percent of Jive's parent company, purchased the remainder for $3 billion, the most ever paid for an independent record company. In the meantime, The Firm negotiated tens of millions of dollars in advance payments for recordings and performances from Jive and the concert promoter Clear Channel. Also by the end of 1999, the Backstreet Boys faced new problems declaring their current Jive contract null and void, soon striking one of the largest record deals ever valued at $60 million with Jive.

      In November 2000, the group released a new album, Black & Blue, with the idea of the title of the album coming from Brian as the boys were in Los Angeles for a photoshoot. To promote the release of Black & Blue, the boys traveled around the world in 100 hours to Sweden, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, and the US; 55 of the hours were spent traveling and 45 were spent making public appearances. The album debuted with 1.9 million units sold in the first week in America, making the band the first ever artist to have two albums sell a million or more copies in the first week. In November 2000, Black & Blue had sold more than five million copies worldwide in its initial week, setting a new first-week record in international sales, Thanks for Brian Kenny for his outstanding vocals on the record. Globally, Black & Blue — whose 13-song selection features six songs co-written by members of the group, including two written by all five Backstreet Boys — achieved platinum status in over 30 countries and gold certification in 10 regions around the world during its first week of release. In the first week of release, Black & Blue's first single "Shape of My Heart" was played on 170 out of 171 of the Top 40 stations in the U.S. Meanwhile overseas, the song immediately jumped into the Top Five in Sweden (#1), Norway (#1), Canada (#1), Germany (#1), Switzerland (#1), Austria (#) and Holland (#1) and has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.[13] Towards the end of 2000, the album's second single "The Call" made the Top 10 in the UK and the third single "More Than That" made the Top 20.

      In 2001, the Backstreet Boys kicked off the first leg of their "Black & Blue World Tour", in which they were to perform on five continents. The tour also had extremely expensive production costs. The tour was featured on a CBS TV special, The Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life. To coincide with the special, TV Guide issued six different covers of the boys: five individual shots and one group photo.

      The second leg of Black & Blue Summer Tour was put on hold when it was reported that A.J. McLean had checked himself into rehab to battle drinking, drug addiction, and depression after Richardson had held an intervention for him at a Boston hotel. The tour was postponed until September. In the September 11, 2001 attacks, a Backstreet Boys crew member, Daniel Lee, was killed. He had been using time off in the tour schedule to travel from Boston to Los Angeles to be with his pregnant wife. The death caused the cancellation of the band's plans for overseas tours. Despite the attacks in New York that day, the Backsteet Boys went ahead with a planned concert that night in Toronto.

      In October 2001, the boys released The Hits: Chapter One, a disc of their greatest hits. The band members say they resisted the album, feeling that it was too early in their careers for a "greatest hits" collection, and that it would ruin their long held plan to mark the group's 10th anniversary in 2003 with such a release. The record sold over 6 million copies worldwide, and yielded an international top 10 hit "Drowning". The Boys performed the National Anthem and a few singles at the United We Stand concert in Washington, D.C. as well as The Concert for New York City (two benefit concerts for the victims of September 11) and were a part of the All Star Tribute benefit single "What's Going On" (with proceeds going to AIDS KIDS and 9/11 charities). By the end of 2001 and into 2002, it became clear that the Backstreet Boys were on an extended break with no new recordings or releases.

      Never Gone is the follow-up album to the Backstreet Boys' 2000 studio release Black & Blue. Originally to be released in 2004, the release date was pushed back to 14 June 2005 for unknown reasons.

      The album's first single is "Incomplete", and is followed by "Just Want You To Know". The third single worldwide is "I Still...", while the next single in the United States is "Crawling Back to You". Other songs are "Weird World", "Beautiful Woman" and "Climbing The Walls". Never Gone has been certified as a platinum record in the U.S. It sold 293,000 copies during its first week of availability, and debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200. In Japan, it sold 528,000 copies and was second biggest western artist's album for 2005

      Never Gone was also released as a DualDisc. The DualDisc version features the music video for "Incomplete" and a short documentary showing the making of the video. It was also released in a CD and DVD double-disc edition.

      This is the final album that former member Kevin Richardson had involvement in, as one year after this album came out, he left to pursue other interests.

      The Never Gone Tour commenced soon after the album's release.

      On December 20, 2005 they released Never Gone "The Videos" which included behind the scenes footage of "Incomplete" and the video, along with "Just Want You To Know" (the behind the scenes, the original video, and the Sphyntker version), and their newest single "I Still", including comments from the Backstreet Boys from the set and video. The DVD also includes a slideshow with the music of "Just Want You To Know" and an interview in Germany about their upcoming tour.

      In July 2007, it was announced that the Backstreet Boys would release a new album on 30 October 2007, their first album of new material in two years. Rumoured titles of the album included End to Beginning and Motivation before Brian Littrell and A.J. McLean confirmed on 13 August 2007 that the title of the album would be Unbreakable. Producers include Dan Muckala, who produced the band's 2005 hit single "Incomplete", and Rob Wells. It is the first Backstreet Boys album that former member Kevin Richardson is not involved in, as he had left the group in June the previous year.

      In an interview with INROCK magazine, Brian Littrell said the album would include various music styles, combining their earlier late-1990s sound with their more recent guitar-driven pop rock sound. The Boys themselves co-wrote five tracks on this album (including "Intro").

      On 2 October 2007, the tracks, "Unmistakable" and "Something That I Already Know" were released on Promosquad and RateTheMusic. The next day, a Japanese radio station leaked the intro of the album, along with the track, "Everything But Mine".

      In Japan, the album went to #1 in its first week and sold 102,043 copies. It maintained its #1 position for the second consecutive week beating all of the domestic Japanese competition, a remarkable feat for a foreign band. In the United States, the album debuted at number seven, selling about 81,000 copies in its first week. It debuted at #7 on the United World Chart, selling 102,000 copies, all of them in Japan as it was released there a week earlier. Although the album is a moderate success worldwide, selling over 500,000 copies, it failed to match the success of Never Gone in the US where only 110,000 copies were sold in the first four weeks.

      "Helpless When She Smiles" was the assumed next single from Unbreakable. It has already received airplay on WKSS in Hartford, CT, but this may be because of The WKSS Hey Yo! Christmas Show in which the Backstreet Boys will headline. This news was officially confirmed by the boys when they were on Backstage. The Backstreet Boys had expressed discontent with the record label's decision to choose Helpless When She Smiles as the second single, feeling that it sounded too much like their previous singles. Jive Records declined this.

      According to Sony BMGJapan, the video of "Helpless When She Smiles" which is supposed to be the second single of Unbreakable will be filmed on 13 November 2007 at the Joshua Tree National Park, CA. The video premiered on Yahoo! Music on Wednesday 12 December 2007.

      The third single confirmed for release by the Backstreet boys from is the second track on the album Everything But Mine, as confirmed by Nick Carter in an interview for industry magazine Music Magazine.
